Home Gym Exercises
Punching bag stands can often be an overlooked, but essential purchase, for those who use punching bags in the home to keep themselves fit.
Due to the ever increasing demands of everyday living, more and more of us are coming to realize the benefits of working out at home. We simply don't have the time (and often inclinination) to make that time consuming journey to the gym. Some of us may also have child care responsibilities which means that we need to be in the family home at specific times.
However, if you truthfully consider the amount of time you spend watching tv, when you could be doing something more productive, then it's more than likely that you could partake in some home gym exercises!
Unfortunately, the main problem for the vast majority of us, is a sheer lack of space for all that gym equipment that we would invariably need to achieve an overall body workout.
That is why one activity in particular is growing in popularity. Men, women, young and old are all realising the benefits of a boxing workout! As well as toning up the muscles in the arms and legs, cardio boxing workouts also improve overall fitness levels.
However, whilst the actual equipment needed may be fairly compact, you should not underestimate the floor area required to work out safely and efficiently. Firstly, you need to ensure that there is sufficient space to allow the punch bag to swing. Also, there needs to be enough room for you to move around safely and not injure yourself when hitting or kicking the bag. One further consideration is the noise element, particularly if using wall mounted bags that tend to reverberate around the room. Ideally, it would be better to locate your boxing equipment in an outdoor garage or lock up, where you are less likely to annoy the neighbors.
Punch Bag Stand Purchase Considerations
Before purchasing any type of punching bag stand you need to ensure that it is suitable for both the size and weight of your desired punching bag. You should also consider where you are planning to site your workout station and how you can securely fasten the equipment to the floors, walls or ceilings.
There are some boxing bag stands that require no fixing. The Ringside Heavy Bag Stand (pictured above) uses weight pegs for stability and hence, no floor mounting is required. This may be particularly beneficial for those who do not own their own property or apartment and are unable to start drilling into the walls or floors!
There are also spped bag punch stands (pictured below) which are ideal for an upper body workout, if you're short of space. However, as mentioned earlier, one of the main problems with this is the noise factor and the possibility of irritating other tenants,

What Punching Bag Stand Should I Buy?
Firstly, you need to assess how much space you realistically have for your home gym equipment. Secondly you need to consider the noise elements and whether or not you can locate the equipment in an outside building.
If you're determined that a boxing workout is right for you, then you need to consider whether or not you can drill into the fabric of the building and securely fix any equipment. If not, then you need to consider free standing equipment such as the Ringside Heavy Bag Stand which uses weighted pegs.
Medical Check Up Before Exercising
Just a gentle reminder to check with your medical practitioner that you are actually fit enough to undertake a boxing workout. Also, whilst an increasing number of us are undertaking some form of exercise at home, it is always a good idea to check in with a professionally qualified training instructor who can prepare an exercise plan tailor made to suit your own individual level of fitness.
Happy Boxing!

Punch bag is good for release tension and anger. I tried the speed punch bag, it is not as easy as it looks like. One shot can take faster than less than 1 sec. Really killing!
